One day, my 7-year-old son Misha was practicing his single crochet stitches and made a beautiful green rectangle. He decided we should turn it into one of his favorite animals — a frog. And so, the Long-Legged Green Frog was born from his imagination. We loved how it turned out and wanted to share this simple and fun beginner pattern with the crochet world.

This pattern uses regular aran weight (or weight size 4 ) acrylic yarn. Misha's original frog was especially cute made in Easy Peasy yarn, but it can be made with any yarn. The thinner the yarn, the smaller the frog. Misha and I hope you enjoy making our little frog friend!
